Meet The Team
Sandra Dailor of Rochester, NY, is the founder and owner of Silver Lining Memories. She dreamed of owning a bear-themed business when she started selling handmade 2-inch teddy bears at a local consignment shop at the age of twelve. Over the years, Sandra raised a family and continued to sew and create items, such as Christmas stockings and tree skirts, with unique themes for their receiver. Fast forward to April 2019, her brother-in-law passed away. That Christmas she made unique Teddy Bears for her nephew and niece in memory of their father. This sparked the idea for her company. Late in 2021, with tons of fabric left over from mask making for the pandemic, Sandra began planning her business with a focus on keeping people's stories going and their memories alive. She wanted to use what came naturally to her to make her stand apart from similar companies. So she combined her delight in hearing others' stories, love of creating things with her hands, and passion for making people smile to come up with a business model that would produce handmade plushes using techniques and creative extras that are as extraordinary as the people that would be sharing their memories with her.

Special Acknowledgement
A special thank you to Australian pattern creator, Pauline McArthur. She has been in the business of making baby-safe soft animals for a long time. In 2001, she began selling her patterns and in 2006 she founded Funky Friends Factory. We are lucky enough to be able to purchase her patterns to use as our Silver Lining Memory products.
